Television sets to bring back to life early television viewing. This set is typical in appearance of those from the late 1930's period and is in. It has a 4 1/2 diagonal black and white screen which was high tech at the time! And a nice loud speaker. Period appropriate decals, knobs (which are all functional), speaker cloth, and wood finish.
Measurements (approx): 11 " tall, 16 " wide and 11 1/2 deep. Some DVD players to not have coaxial output. For these sets, I also sell "RCA to Coaxial" adapters. Original prewar television sets are extremely rare today as very were made, few families could afford one and very little programming was available.
When one becomes available today, the set commands prices in the tens of thousands. I make these sets because I have always been fascinated by the thought of televisions being available in the 1920's and 30's and what it must have been like to have had the rare opportunity to view one. I want to share that fascination with others.
If you sit in front of one my sets and watch a program, you'll know what I mean.
