Description: This ring could not be more charming. Offering a wonderful, antique or vintage, handmade ring composed of 800 silver and stunning, faceted garnet stones.

The face of the ring is designed with a floral or scroll-type, Baroque-style design with three, bezel-set, oval garnets. The center stone is a bit more of a ruby red color vs the other two stones which are more of a merlot, garnet color but the difference is subtle if at all noticeable when wearing the ring.

The stones are wonderfully cut and have a lovely sparkle as they catch the light. The shoulders and band are finished off with a similar scroll design as well. There are several hallmarks including the "800" silver mark on the side of the band as well as a second mark that I have not deciphered yet along with another mark inside the band that is illegible. (This listing will be updated if I find out more about these marks). For clarity, the "800" mark denotes the silver quality which is 800/1000 parts silver which means this is a lower grade than sterling silver which is 925/1000 parts silver. The silver has a lovely patina in just the right places but may be polished by the new owner if desired. This ring was acquired from Germany (as in country of origin) but I'm not sure if the marks are German, Austrian, Hungarian, etc. Not sure of age but likely the first half of the 20th century and definitely vintage if not antique.

Approximate Measurements: US size 4.5. Face/top: 5/8 inch by 1 inch. The stones are slightly different in size and range from 4-5 mm by around 7mm. Band is roughly 2-2.5 mm at the base of the shank. Condition: Very good, vintage condition with wear in keeping with age and use.
