Antique Butler's Desk Dresser Empire Style Pull Down Stationary Mahogany 1800's
Made in New England (Presumably Rhode Island, Cape Cod area). Some visible wear and slight damage as shown in photos, fold down hinges need repair on the desk and drawers can be a little sticky, there are also some spots where it appears the wood had been replaced. Inside lining is starting to.

Overall, considering its age, this piece is remarkable and in beautiful condition. Signature on inside of drawer, but no real makers mark. Photos do not do this piece of furniture justice (especially these photos) but the incredible carved curves and design of this butler's desk would make a beautiful statement piece and bring history to any home. The detailing on the inside of the small drawers is very fine, each of the bottom 3 drawers lock with a skeleton key.

This is really a wonderful bit of New England furniture history. EcoBuilding Bargains, the Center for EcoTechnologys reuse store, is the largest reclaimed and surplus building materials store in New England.
